风尘系统地球化学    

风尘是地球表层系统重要的组成部分。本方向采用矿物学、地球化学、沉积学和古气候学的研究方法,研究风尘从源到汇的地球化学过程。系统开展我国北方风尘与中亚风尘沉积和西北太平洋风尘沉积的时空变化对比研究,探讨高原隆升—大陆风化—风尘演化—气候变化的内在联系,了解人类活动对现代粉尘释放的影响。 下设两个研究分室:   

1.风尘起源与示踪研究室   

2.黄土地球化学研究室   

  

Geochemistry of eolian dust  

Atmospheric dust is an important component of the surface system of the earth. We researches the geochemical processes associated with the eolian dust by integrating tools of mineralogy, geochemistry, sedimentology and paleo-climate. Systematic surveys has been applied to the eolian deposits in the Asian Interior, the North China and the North Pacific, which help to understand the links between Tibetan uplifts, continental weathering, eolian evolution and climate changes, and to decipher the anthropogenic influence on the emission of modern dust. Two research groups are involved: 

1those on the origin and source tracing of eolian dust 

2those on the geochemistry of loess deposits
